Zole Cards, crafted by Raccoon Games, is a captivating trick-taking card game that blends strategy, skill, and a dash of luck. Played with a custom deck of 63 cards, Zole transports players to a realm where alliances shift and every trick counts.

The Cards

The Zole deck comprises three suits: Clubs, Diamonds, and Hearts, each featuring cards numbered 1 to 13. Additionally, there are three special cards: the Zole, the Joker, and the Null. The Zole, a powerful trump card, outranks all others, while the Joker can transform into any card in the deck. The Null, a double-edged sword, both blocks and voids other cards.

Gameplay

Zole is played by 4 players in two partnerships. The goal is to win the most tricks, with each trick worth a certain number of points. The game consists of multiple rounds, each with its unique set of rules and scoring system.

Trick-Taking

The player who wins the bid (auction) leads with a card. Other players must follow suit if possible, or play a trump card if they cannot. The highest card of the suit led wins the trick, unless a trump is played. The player who wins the trick collects the cards and leads the next one.

Bidding

Before each round, players bid on the number of tricks they believe they can win. The player with the highest bid becomes the declarer. If the declarer's partnership wins the number of tricks they bid, they score points. However, if they fall short, they lose points.

Special Rules

Zole incorporates several unique rules that add depth to the gameplay:

* Zole: The Zole card can be played at any time, overriding any other card.

* Joker: The Joker can be played on any card, assuming its value.

* Null: The Null can be played on any card, blocking its value and voiding any other cards played on it.

* Blind Nil: A risky bid where the declarer attempts to win no tricks.

* Double Nil: An even more challenging bid where the declarer's partnership attempts to lose all tricks.

Scoring

The scoring system in Zole is complex and varies depending on the round and the special rules in play. Generally, players aim to win tricks with high-value cards, such as the Ace, King, and Queen. Bonuses are awarded for winning certain combinations of cards, such as the "Zole King" (winning a trick with the Zole and the King).
