You start with a million zlotys in cash, and you can't stop the game at any time.

You answer every question by putting money in the answer you think is correct. If you are unsure of the answer, you can put money on more than one question by distributing it appropriately. Zagraj o milion! is a Polish television game show based on the international format Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The show premiered on TVN on September 3, 1999, and has been hosted by Hubert Urbański since its inception.

Gameplay

The game is played by a single contestant who answers a series of multiple-choice questions. Each question has four possible answers, and the contestant must choose the correct answer to advance to the next question. The questions become progressively more difficult as the contestant advances through the game.

The contestant has three lifelines available to them:

* 50:50: Removes two incorrect answers.

* Phone-a-Friend: Allows the contestant to call a friend or family member for help.

* Ask the Audience: Polls the studio audience for their opinion on the correct answer.

Prizes

The contestant can win a maximum of 1,000,000 Polish złoty (approximately €220,000). The prize money is divided into 15 levels, with the first level worth 500 złoty and the final level worth 1,000,000 złoty.

If the contestant answers a question incorrectly, they lose all of their winnings and drop back to the last safe level they reached.

Safe Levels

There are three safe levels in the game:

* 1,000 złoty

* 40,000 złoty

* 250,000 złoty

If the contestant reaches a safe level, they can choose to walk away with the money they have won at that point.

History

Zagraj o milion! has been a popular success in Poland, and has been nominated for several awards. The show has also been adapted into several other languages, including Spanish, French, and German.

Controversies

Zagraj o milion! has been involved in several controversies over the years. In 2004, a contestant was accused of cheating by using a hidden earpiece. In 2009, the show was criticized for airing a question that was considered to be offensive.

Despite these controversies, Zagraj o milion! remains one of the most popular game shows in Poland.
