Solitaire Classic is a timeless card game that has captivated players for centuries. With its simple rules and addictive gameplay, it offers a perfect blend of skill and luck.

Gameplay

The game is played with a standard deck of 52 cards. The objective is to arrange all the cards in ascending order, from Ace to King, in four piles, one for each suit (Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, and Spades).

The game starts with seven tableau piles, each containing a varying number of cards. The top card of each pile is face up, while the rest are face down. There are also four foundation piles, one for each suit, which are initially empty.

Moves

Players can move cards between the tableau piles and the foundation piles. To move a card, it must be one rank higher or lower than the card on top of the pile it is being moved to. For example, a 6 can be moved on top of a 5 or a 7.

If a tableau pile becomes empty, a King or a sequence of cards starting with a King can be moved to fill it.

Foundation Piles

Aces are placed on the foundation piles to start each suit. Subsequent cards of the same suit can then be added in ascending order. Once a foundation pile is complete, it is removed from the game.

Stock Pile

If players get stuck, they can draw cards from the stock pile, which contains the remaining cards. However, they can only draw a limited number of times.

Scoring

The game ends when all four foundation piles are complete. The player's score is determined by the number of moves they made and the number of cards left in the stock pile. Lower scores indicate better gameplay.

Variations

Solitaire Classic has several variations, including:

* Klondike: The standard version of the game.

* Spider: A more challenging version with eight tableau piles and different rules for moving cards.

* FreeCell: A variation where players can use four additional "free cells" to store cards.

Tips for Winning

* Expose hidden cards: Flip over face-down cards in the tableau piles to increase your options.
