Objective

The goal of River Game is to cross a river by moving all your pieces from the starting bank to the opposite bank, while avoiding capture by your opponent's pieces.

Setup

The game is played on an 8x8 board with four rows of squares on each side of the river. Each player has eight pieces, which are initially placed on the bottom two rows of their side of the river.

Gameplay

Players take turns moving their pieces one square at a time, either forward or backward. Pieces cannot move diagonally or jump over other pieces.

The pieces move as follows:

* Frog: Can move one square in any direction, including diagonally.

* Turtle: Can move one square forward or backward.

* Snake: Can move one square forward, backward, or to either side.

* Elephant: Can move two squares forward or backward.

Capture

Pieces can capture an opponent's piece by landing on the same square. Captured pieces are removed from the board.

Special Rules

* Log: A log appears on the river after a certain number of moves. Logs can be used as a bridge to cross the river, but they can also be used to block your opponent's path.

* Crocodile: Crocodiles appear randomly on the river and can capture any piece that lands on their square.

* Current: The current flows in a random direction, pushing all pieces one square in that direction.

Winning

The game is won by the player who first gets all their pieces to the opposite bank.
