Deck and Cards

Pinochle uses a special deck of 48 cards, consisting of:

Objective

The objective of Pinochle is to be the first partnership to reach 1500 points by taking tricks and declaring melds.

Gameplay

Pinochle is played in a series of hands. Each hand begins with the dealer dealing 12 cards to each player. The remaining cards form the kitty.
