Junkyard is a strategy board game for two players, ages 10 and up, that simulates the scrap metal business. Players buy and sell scrap metal, upgrade their junkyards, and try to make the most money. The game is played on a hexagonal grid, with each space representing a different type of scrap metal. Players can buy scrap metal from the bank or from other players, and they can sell scrap metal to the bank or to other players. Players can also upgrade their junkyards by building new structures, such as smelters and crushers.

The game is won by the player who has the most money at the end of the game. Players can make money by buying and selling scrap metal, by upgrading their junkyards, and by completing contracts. Contracts are special tasks that players can complete to earn extra money.

Setup

To set up the game, each player chooses a color and takes the corresponding set of pieces. The pieces include:

* 1 Junkyard board

* 6 Scrap metal tiles

* 1 Smelter

* 1 Crusher

* 1 Magnet

* 10 Money tokens

The players then place their junkyards on the table, and they place their scrap metal tiles on the spaces around their junkyards. The smelter, crusher, and magnet are placed on the table in the center of the playing area.

Gameplay

The game is played over a series of turns. On each turn, a player can take one of the following actions:

* Buy scrap metal from the bank or from another player.

* Sell scrap metal to the bank or to another player.

* Upgrade their junkyard by building a new structure.

* Complete a contract.

Buying and Selling Scrap Metal

Players can buy scrap metal from the bank or from other players. The price of scrap metal is determined by the type of metal and the supply and demand for that metal. Upgrading Junkyards

Players can upgrade their junkyards by building new structures. The structures that players can build include:

Completing Contracts

End of the Game

The game ends when one of the following conditions is met:

* One player has bought all of the scrap metal from the bank.

* One player has completed all of the contracts.

* All of the scrap metal has been sold to the bank.

The player with the most money at the end of the game wins.
