Card Reading is a solitaire card game played with a standard deck of 52 playing cards. The goal of the game is to move all of the cards to the foundation piles, which are built up in suit from Ace to King.

The game begins with the tableau being dealt into 7 piles. The first pile has 1 card, the second pile has 2 cards, and so on. The top card of each pile is turned face up, and the remaining cards are placed face down.

The four foundation piles are built up in suit from Ace to King. Aces are placed on the empty foundation piles first, followed by 2s, 3s, and so on.

The tableau piles can be built down in suit or down in rank. For example, a 7 of hearts can be placed on an 8 of hearts, or on a 6 of any suit.

Empty tableau piles can be filled with any card.

The stock pile is used to draw cards when there are no legal moves on the tableau. The top card of the stock pile is turned face up and placed on the waste pile.

The waste pile is used to hold cards that cannot be played. The top card of the waste pile can be played on the tableau or on the foundation piles.

The game is won when all of the cards have been moved to the foundation piles.

Strategy
