Uxcel Go, a captivating strategy game rooted in ancient Chinese tradition, offers players an intellectually stimulating and rewarding experience. The game's objective is straightforward: capture more territory than your opponent by strategically placing black and white stones on a 19x19 grid.

Gameplay Basics

Players take turns placing stones on unoccupied intersections of the grid. Once placed, a stone cannot be moved. Stones of the same color can connect horizontally or vertically to form chains. The goal is to create groups of stones that cannot be captured by your opponent.

Capturing Stones

Chains of stones are captured when they are completely surrounded by opponent stones. Captured stones are removed from the board and placed in the opponent's territory. Empty intersections adjacent to captured stones become available for further play.

Territories

Territories are formed by surrounding empty intersections with stones of the same color. At the end of the game, each player counts the number of territories they control, including the empty intersections within them.

Eyes and Liberties

Each stone has a certain number of liberties, which are unoccupied intersections adjacent to it. A stone with no liberties is considered "dead" and is removed from the board. Groups of stones with at least two liberties are considered alive.

Ko Rule

The Ko rule prevents a repetitive sequence of moves that would result in an infinite loop. If a player captures a stone and the opponent immediately captures it back, the first player cannot capture it again until at least one other move has been made elsewhere on the board.

Scoring

The game ends when neither player has any legal moves left. The player with the most territories wins. Each territory counts as one point, and captured stones are worth one point each for the player who captured them.

Uxcel Go requires a combination of strategic thinking, tactical skill, and positional awareness. Players must balance offense and defense, controlling territory while also attacking their opponent's weaknesses. The game promotes patience, foresight, and a deep understanding of the board.
