The game board is a hexagonal grid, representing the savanna landscape. Players roll dice to determine their movement, landing on different terrain types, such as grasslands, watering holes, and acacia trees. Each terrain type offers unique opportunities and challenges, influencing the animals that can be encountered.

As players explore the savanna, they encounter a multitude of animal cards, each featuring a stunning photograph and detailed information about the species.
