- Governor: Allows the player to build a free building.

- Settler: Allows the player to settle a new plantation.

- Builder: Allows the player to construct a building.

- Craftsman: Allows the player to produce goods.

- Trader: Allows the player to sell goods for victory points.

- Captain: Allows the player to ship goods to Europe.

- Mayor: Allows the player to recruit new colonists.

2. Action Phase: Players take turns performing the actions associated with their chosen roles. Actions include settling plantations, constructing buildings, producing goods, shipping goods, and recruiting colonists.

3. Production Phase: Players collect resources from their plantations and buildings. Resources include sugar, tobacco, coffee, and indigo.

4. Shipping Phase: Players can ship goods to Europe for victory points. The amount of victory points earned depends on the type of goods shipped and the market demand.

Building and Plantations:

Players can construct various buildings and plantations to improve their production capabilities. Buildings include plantations, which produce resources, and factories, which convert resources into goods. Plantations can be upgraded to increase their production yield.

Colonists:

Players can recruit colonists to work on their plantations and buildings. Colonists provide additional production bonuses and can be used to settle new plantations.

Victory Points:

Players earn victory points by shipping goods, constructing buildings, and acquiring colonists. The player with the most victory points at the end of the game wins.
