Pont Chaban is a card game for two to four players that originated in France. The game is played with a standard 52-card deck. The goal of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all of their cards.

Gameplay

The game begins with each player being dealt 13 cards. The remaining cards are placed face down in a pile in the center of the table. The player to the left of the dealer goes first.

On their turn, a player can play one or more cards from their hand onto the table. Cards can be played in three different ways:

* Single cards: A player can play a single card onto the table. The card must match the rank or suit of the card that is currently on top of the pile.

* Pairs: A player can play two cards of the same rank onto the table. The cards must match the rank of the card that is currently on top of the pile.

* Triples: A player can play three cards of the same rank onto the table. The cards must match the rank of the card that is currently on top of the pile.

If a player cannot play any cards, they must draw one card from the pile in the center of the table. If the player can still not play any cards, they must pass their turn.

The game continues until one player gets rid of all of their cards. That player wins the game.

Variations
