Introduction

Nata is a traditional board game played in West Africa, particularly in Ghana, Togo, Benin, and Nigeria. It is a two-player game played on an 8x8 checkered board with 12 pieces per player. The objective of the game is to capture all of your opponent's pieces or block them from making any legal moves.

Gameplay

The game is played on a board with alternating light and dark squares. Each player has 12 pieces, which are initially placed on the first three rows of their side of the board. Players take turns moving their pieces one square at a time, either forward, backward, or sideways. Pieces can capture opponent pieces by landing on their square. Captured pieces are removed from the board.

* King Pieces: When a piece reaches the opposite side of the board, it becomes a "king" piece. King pieces can move both forward and backward.

* Multiple Captures: If a piece has the opportunity to capture multiple opponent pieces in a single move, it must do so.
