RumX is an exciting card game that combines strategy, luck, and a dash of humor. It's a modern take on the classic game of Rummy, offering a unique blend of familiar gameplay and innovative features.

Gameplay

RumX is played with a standard deck of 52 cards. The goal is to be the first player to meld all of their cards into valid combinations, known as "melds." Melds can be sets of three or four cards of the same rank, or runs of three or more cards in the same suit.

Setup

To start a game of RumX, each player is dealt 10 cards. The remaining cards are placed in a draw pile. One card is flipped over from the draw pile to start the discard pile.

Gameplay

On their turn, a player can choose to draw a card from either the draw pile or the discard pile. They can then meld any valid combinations from their hand. If they cannot meld any cards, they must discard one card to the discard pile.

Special Cards

RumX introduces two special cards: the Joker and the X-Card. The Joker can be used as a wild card to represent any card in a meld. The X-Card can be used to cancel out any other card in a meld.

Scoring

When a player melds all of their cards, they "go out." The other players calculate their scores based on the cards remaining in their hands. Points are awarded for cards of different ranks and suits, as well as for unmelded Jokers and X-Cards.

Winning

The player with the lowest score after a predetermined number of rounds wins the game.
