Lyon Aéroport, also known as Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport, is the primary international airport serving Lyon, France. It is located 25 kilometers (16 miles) southeast of Lyon in the commune of Colombier-Saugnieu. The airport is named after Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a French aviator, writer, and poet who was born in Lyon.

History

Lyon Aéroport was built in the early 1970s to replace the old Lyon-Bron Airport, which was located closer to the city center. The new airport opened in 1975 and has been expanded several times since then. The most recent major expansion was completed in 2017, adding a new terminal and increasing the airport's capacity to 15 million passengers per year.

Terminals

Lyon Aéroport has three terminals:
