Feyenoord is a Dutch professional football club based in Rotterdam. Founded in 1908, the club has won 15 Eredivisie titles, 13 KNVB Cups, and four European trophies: the European Cup in 1970, the UEFA Cup in 1974 and 2002, and the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2022.

History

Feyenoord was founded on July 19, 1908, as Wilhelmina Voetbal Vereniging (VV). The club's name was changed to Feyenoord in 1912, after the Feyenoord district of Rotterdam where the club's stadium, De Kuip, is located.

Feyenoord won its first Eredivisie title in 1924, and has since won 14 more titles, the most recent of which came in 2017. The club has also won 13 KNVB Cups, the most recent of which came in 2018.

Feyenoord has also had success in European competition, winning the European Cup in 1970, the UEFA Cup in 1974 and 2002, and the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2022.

Feyenoord plays its home matches at De Kuip, which is located in the Feyenoord district of Rotterdam. The stadium has a capacity of 51,177 and is one of the largest stadiums in the Netherlands.

Supporters

Feyenoord has a large and passionate fan base, known as the Legioen. The Legioen is known for its passionate support and its colorful tifos.

Rivalries

Feyenoord's main rivals are Ajax and PSV Eindhoven. The matches between these three clubs are known as the "Big Three" matches. Feyenoord also has a rivalry with Sparta Rotterdam, which is known as the "Rotterdam derby."
