Gameplay:

12 is a competitive tile-laying game where players take turns placing numbered tiles onto a central board. The goal is to be the first player to get rid of all their tiles.

Setup:

* Each player receives a set of 12 tiles, numbered 1-12.

* The starting player is chosen randomly.

Gameplay:

* On their turn, a player must place a tile on the board that matches the number of the tile that was previously placed.

* If a player cannot place a tile, they must draw a tile from the deck.

* If the deck is empty, players can place any tile.

* The game continues until one player gets rid of all their tiles.

Scoring:

* The first player to get rid of all their tiles wins the game.

* If the game ends in a draw, the player with the lowest total number of points on their remaining tiles wins.

Strategy:

* Pay attention to the tiles that have been played and try to anticipate what tiles your opponents might have.

* Try to keep your tiles as low as possible, as you can always place a tile that is lower than the previous one.

* Block your opponents by placing tiles that they cannot play.

* If you are forced to draw a tile, try to draw a tile that you can use immediately.

Variations:

There are several variations of 12, including:

* 12-Player: A version of the game for 12 players.

* 12-Card: A version of the game played with cards instead of tiles.

* 12-Dice: A version of the game played with dice instead of tiles.
