Gameplay

Each player begins with a hand of five cards, each displaying a single-digit number. On their turn, a player can play one card face up onto the playing field. The played card must either add to the current sum on the field or create a new sum. The other player then has the opportunity to play a card that continues the addition chain or blocks their opponent's move.

Players can also use special cards to manipulate the game. Swap cards allow players to exchange cards from their hand with those on the field. Multiplier cards double the value of the next card played. Joker cards can represent any number, giving players more flexibility.

Strategy and Tactics

Addition Duel requires a keen eye for patterns and a quick mind for calculations. Players must anticipate their opponent's moves and plan their own accordingly. They need to consider the target number, the cards in their hand, and the cards on the field to determine the best course of action.

Blocking an opponent's move can be crucial. By playing a card that forces them to exceed the target number or prevents them from adding to the current sum, players can gain a significant advantage.
