The Humpback Whales is a cooperative card game for 2-4 players, ages 8 and up. Players work together to save humpback whales from extinction by collecting cards that represent different whale behaviors and characteristics. The game is played over a series of rounds, and each round consists of three phases:

1. The Planning Phase: In this phase, players take turns playing cards from their hands to the table. Each card represents a different whale behavior or characteristic, such as "feeding," "breaching," or "singing." Players can play any number of cards during their turn, but they must follow certain rules. For example, players cannot play two cards of the same type in a row.

2. The Action Phase: Once all players have played their cards, the cards are revealed and the whales take actions based on the cards that were played. For example, if a player played a "feeding" card, the whales will eat krill. If a player played a "breaching" card, the whales will breach the surface of the water.

3. The Scoring Phase: After the whales have taken their actions, players score points based on the cards that were played. Players score points for completing certain goals, such as feeding all of the whales or getting all of the whales to sing.

The game ends after a certain number of rounds, or when all of the whales have been saved from extinction. Players win if they score enough points to save all of the whales.
