SOSAFE is the app for a platform that aims to create a citizen network with which you can feel calmer and more protected. As such, this tool offers the possibility of alerting others to any type of incident in your neighborhood, from a fight to an emergency, including, for example, the loss of a pet.

The way SOSAFE works is as follows: before using the app for the first time, you have to create an account linked to your phone number. This provides a number for others to contact you with to make sure you're safe in the event of an emergency. Once inside the interface, you can access a menu of alerts, including fire emergencies, the need for police assistance or an ambulance, vehicle theft, residential burglary, suspicious activity, fighting, and a test button.

SOSAFE is a social deduction game, similar in vein to Mafia or Werewolf, but with a distinct focus on information gathering and hidden roles within a seemingly safe environment. Players are assigned roles, typically divided into "Safe" (the innocent villagers) and "Unsafe" (the hidden threats). The core gameplay revolves around players trying to identify the Unsafe players through discussion, observation, and the use of special role abilities.

The "Safe" players are tasked with uncovering the identities of the "Unsafe" players and eliminating them before they can achieve their objectives. This is usually done through voting, where players nominate and vote to eliminate someone they suspect of being Unsafe. The challenge lies in the fact that Unsafe players are trying to blend in, manipulate the conversation, and misdirect suspicion onto innocent Safe players.

Special roles are a key component of SOSAFE. Safe players might have abilities like investigating other players to learn their role or protecting someone from being eliminated. Unsafe players often have abilities to sabotage investigations, frame Safe players, or eliminate players secretly. The effective use of these roles and the clever deception of the Unsafe players are crucial to winning the game. SOSAFE distinguishes itself by emphasizing the importance of trust and communication, forcing players to carefully analyze the actions and words of others to discern who is truly on their side.
