Dominoes is a tile-based game played with rectangular "domino" tiles. Each domino face is divided into two square ends, each marked with a number of spots (also called pips, nips, or dobs). The back of the dominoes in a set is either blank or bears a common design. A standard domino set, traditionally called a double-six set, contains 28 dominoes, representing all possible combinations of two numbers from zero to six.

The gameplay involves players taking turns placing dominoes end-to-end, matching the number of pips on one end of a domino to the number of pips on an open end of a domino already in the playing line (also called the "train").
