This is one of a group of South Asian trick-taking games in which the Jack and the Nine are the highest cards in every suit. It is certain that they are descended from the European family of Jass games, which originated in the Netherlands. They were brought to the Indian subcontinent by Dutch traders.

32 cards from a standard 52-card pack are used for play. The cards in every suit rank from high to low: J-9-A-10-K-Q-8-7. The aim of the game is to win tricks containing valuable cards. The values of the cards are:
Jacks 3 points each
Nines 2 points each
Aces 1 point each
Tens 1 point each
Other cards (K, Q, 8, 7) no points

Objective:

To be the first player to reach 29 points by capturing cards from the table.

Setup:

* A standard deck of 52 cards is used, with all Jokers removed.

* 2-4 players participate.

* The deck is shuffled and placed face down in the center of the table.

* Each player is dealt 7 cards face down.

Gameplay:

* The player to the left of the dealer starts the game.

* On their turn, a player draws the top card from the deck.

* If the drawn card can be combined with cards on the table to form a combination that adds up to 29, the player captures those cards and places them in their score pile.

* Combinations can include:

* Pairs (2 cards of the same rank)

* Three-of-a-kind (3 cards of the same rank)

* Four-of-a-kind (4 cards of the same rank)

* Straight (5 cards in numerical sequence)

* Flush (5 cards of the same suit)

* Full House (3-of-a-kind and a pair)

* Straight Flush (5 cards in numerical sequence and the same suit)

* If the player cannot make a combination, they discard the drawn card face up on the discard pile.

* The next player takes their turn.

Special Cards:

* 2s: Wild cards that can represent any card.

* Kings: Force the next player to draw 3 cards from the deck.

* Queens: Force the next player to skip their turn.

* Aces: Worth 1 point each.

Scoring:

* Players score points for capturing combinations and Aces.

* The first player to reach 29 points wins the game.

Variations:

* 4-Player Game: Each player is dealt 5 cards instead of 7.

* Cutthroat Game: Players can capture cards from each other's score piles.

* Speed Game: Players play as quickly as possible to capture cards. The first player to reach 29 points wins a round, and the first player to win a set number of rounds wins the game.
